Church Focused Bystander Training

Join VC Green Dot along with other church communities and learn bystander skills to love our neighbors and prevent violence in our community by attending our 3-hour Green Dot Bystander Training. 

A Green Dot Bystander Training is an opportunity to think about safe and realistic ways that each of us can do little actions to help our community become and stay safe. There are so many realistic ways we can better love our neighbors and contribute to a safe community. If you are a shy person, it will be a chance for you to come up with ways to react to moments of harm (red dots) in less direct ways - maybe you can a pastor or community leader to step in, maybe you can cause a distraction. If you're direct, we'll think through ways you can respond to a red dot in a safe way. This is a low-pressure opportunity to practice bystander skills, so when you see a red dot situation (moment of harm that sparks your suspicion), you're ready to help in a way that make sense for who you are. The training is engaging, interactive, and free. Let attending this training be the first Green Dot (behavior to prevent harm) you do today to help end violence in Valley City. Supper and childcare provided.
